What's this unicorn metaphor?
November 12, 2024
Coming back to the question about unicorns—well, so, the unicorn breaks down into a magical beast. So already, we're not talking about something concrete here; we're talking about an archetype, a larger idea. The unicorn breaks down into a magical beast, and the beast element is the same as a wolf or a lion, or anyone else. But in this sense, it's actually more like a horse. A horse is an extremely strong animal, very grounded. When we're standing next to them, we can feel the intensity that's in their strength, that's in their body.

Those are the elements that are intrinsically beast-like. It's the large amount of mass, the great strength that you have. Those are the elements, really, that come into the beast part of it. As for the magic part, we'll leave that for another question. That gets into what you layer on top—so that you've got the horn coming out of the head, you know, and they go from just a horse to something amazing to meet.
