What's the double meaning behind "Forgery"?

Second question, forgery. All the writing in the book is playful in nature. There's a lot of double meanings between words. A lot of times, you'll read it, and you'll think that it means one thing, but it actually sort of goes another way. So, yeah, forgery — it definitely starts out talking about faking it. It talks about creating the appearance of strength or the appearance of confidence.
And of course, if you're just faking it, if it's a forgery in that sense, people will see through it. Maybe not immediately; sometimes you might fool people, but eventually — particularly if what you're looking for is a genuine connection in a relationship — that's going to fail you as you get closer and closer and more and more intimate with a partner. Eventually, the faking it side will come out. And when it does, you're gonna have to go all the way back to where you started, and you're gonna have to start building it up again.
And that's a horrible way to enter into a relationship with anybody — romantic or just platonic. That is going to be a recipe for disappointment, restarts, and your legitimacy with that person is going to be damaged.
What happens, though, in that section, Forgery, is we start with the "fake it till you make it" side, dismantle that, and we say: go ahead and make it actually from the beginning. But in order to build up those qualities that you need to bring out the beast, all the activities require us to exercise discipline in order to bring that out.
That's simply the only way that you're going to develop the internal fortitude, the strength, and the natural fire that really turns us on in masculine energy. That's the only way to do it — by doing it through discipline. So, we actually get to a place where you're forging that masculine strength through discipline.
And that's what forgery really actually means. If you look it up in the dictionary, there's faking it — that's one level — but there are deeper levels. It actually means built in a forge. That's also what forgery is — building something in a forge. And the forge is discipline. The forge is doing things that are difficult, doing things that maybe don't feel good today, but are going to lead you to the thing that you want eventually.
And there is no way around it. You can't cheat it. You can't have forgery of the fake kind; you have to have forgery of the real kind.
